Con el lado cinematográfico tan agitado, parece que Warner Bros. está abriendo cada vez más la mano para que personajes importantes del Universo DC aparezcan en las series de televisión del Arrowverso.

Tras Superman en temporadas anteriores, y la futura llegada de Lois Lane en el crossover Elseworlds, se ha confirmado que finalmente Lex Luthor aparecerá en la cuarta temporada de la serie de televisión Supergirl.

En palabras de los productores ejecutivos Robert Rovner y Jessica Queller:

Estamos más que emocionados por introducir al icónico villano, Lex Luthor, a Supergirl y entretejerlo en nuestra historia esta temporada. Hemos hablado sobre tener a Lex en la serie desde su concepción y estamos emocionados por tener finalmente su llegada. No podemos esperar a que agite las cosas en National City y verle codo con codo no solo con Supergirl, sino también con su hermana Lena Luthor.

Dicen que no hay planes para que Lex aparezca en Elseworlds, lo cual tiene sentido ya que el crossover ya se está rodando en Vancouver.

Según nuevas publicaciones aparecidas en redes sociales, citando a una cadena de cines de Australia, la duración de Aquaman será de 2 horas y 20 minutos, ajustándose así al que ya parece ser el estándar para las películas de superhéroes.

Como decimos, 140 minutos parece ser el estándar tanto para Marvel como para DC. En el DCEU, cada una de las películas ha durado en torno a esa cantidad, algunas quizás más.

O mucho cambian las cosas, o no habrá velocidad capaz de salvar a Barry Allen esta temporada. Después de una actuación no muy buena en el debut de la nueva temporada la semana pasada, la audiencia de The Flash ha vuelto a caer, y a lo grande. El segundo capítulo de la quinta temporada ha tenido la peor audiencia en directo de la historia de la serie.

Según TVLine, la audiencia de The Flash cayó un 21% hasta 1,64 millones de espectadores, el número más bajo de su historia. El episodio también supuso una caída del 25% en la banda demográfica objetivo de 18-49 años, consiguiendo otro mínimo histórico.

Aunque esto no hace que The Flash esté en peligro de cancelación, considerando además su cohesión con el Arrowverso, lo cierto es que la serie tiene un problema.

Siguiendo la senda marcada por The FlashBlack Lightning también ha alcanzado un mínimo en su segunda temporada. El segundo capítulo tuvo 1,04 millones de espectadores en directo, con un 0.3 de cuota de pantalla en la banda de entre 18 y 49 años.

Según comentó el showrunner Beth Schwartz para Entertainment Weekly, esos flashforwards han llegado para quedarse, y no solo esta temporada, sino para lo que quede de serie.

Vamos a mantenerlos toda la temporada y la serie. No sabíamos cuánto tiempo iba a durar la serie, así que siempre supimos que después de la temporada 5 no habría flashbacks. Así que hablamos sobre los flashforwards hace años. Dijimos, ‘¿Es esto lo que vamos a hacer cuando no haya flashbacks?’.

Los flashbacks son, según lo ve Schwartz, una forma de introducir algo fresco en la serie y abrir las puertas a nuevas historias para algo que dura tanto.

Creo que abre nuestro mundo de forma inmensa. Para una serie de siete temporadas, llegar con nuevas historias que no se hayan hecho antes es definitivamente un reto. Creo que es una forma realmente genial de contar algunas de esas historias y también añadir mucho misterio, porque puedes introducir algo en el futuro y después decir, ‘¿Cómo diablos ocurrió esto?’. Así que en la historia del presente, vas a querer sintonizar para ver realmente todos esos detalles.
